With our late start and strong headwind, we're out of luck getting gas for the next leg to Sault Ste. Marie -- the pumps are already closed.End of journey for the day.Robbie Colwell, the very friendly and helpful airport manager, offers us the use of a courtesy car to go into town. We're excited to see the town of Gore Bay again-- warm memories of a previous camping holiday. After supper and a short drive to the fish hatchery overlooking the bay, we head back and pitch our tent under FZO's wing before dark. The tent floor is rather hard without underlay pads, forfeited to keep baggage weight down, but we sleep well with the satisfaction that our trip is really happening!
Gore Bay in sight!
